Here Are 4 Reasons Why You Should Have a Podcast, Youtube Channel or Online Show

Confidence comes from a place of a strong sense of self. After nearly three years on the radio, I’ve gone from being a shy introvert to a shy introvert with an extroverted personality. When the mic is on, I can broadcast a version of myself that some people say is attractive, strong, and certainly confident, but it wasn’t always like that.

What I want to share with you is what I discovered in this journey in broadcasting that you can apply to your life, your undertakings and your personal growth. It doesn’t require any fancy gear. It requires a leap of faith on your part because once you go the media route; It can change your life.

1. Perceived Expertise

When you visit a doctor, you hope that their knowledge will guide them to solve your problems. When you have a show, you become the doctor of your audience. For the thousands, perhaps millions, of YouTube channels, podcasts, and user-generated content in the world, each person who gets behind a mic takes his own passion, his own opinion, and a position on his subjects.

They challenge the status quo for the benefit of their listeners, hoping to entertain and educate. With consistency by your side, those fans put you on one platform and allow you to impress them.

2. Global Acknowledgment

One of the benefits of boosting confidence is when you receive thank you notes from people you may never meet. The feeling of enriching one’s life, halfway across the world, provides the recognition that you are enhancing someone else’s life with your wisdom and your intellect.

The first time I was told that I was making a difference in someone’s life in a country other than my own, I felt like I had made an impact massively beyond my circle of influence. When you experience how much impact you can create and it comes back to you, it will change your worldview.

“Be grateful for what you have and stop complaining – it annoys everyone, doesn’t do you any good, and doesn’t solve any problems.” – zig ziglar

3. Backed by Numbers

One of the most exciting ways to measure success is to measure your growth. Just broadcasting is not enough. Having subscribers and downloads numerically helps to know how well you are doing. Word of caution. This number can be a way to prepare yourself for trouble due to jealousy but if you understand what the numbers mean; You can control the legend of numbers.

The prime number that makes most people smile is 10,000. I would recommend it to be 1. Why over here As you grow in your industry, so does your reach. If you found out that one person who subscribed changed completely because of you, wouldn’t it be worth the effort?

4. Effective Communication

While it is not talked about much, having a show is documented. You create a dynamic account of your life, your industry and the pulse on what’s important, just by doing one show. When you find a channel to improve your communication skills, you demand attention and people will listen to you. You become more trustworthy as a leader and people will follow you when they believe you can lead them to their wants and needs.

“To communicate effectively, we must realize that we differ in the way we see the world and use this understanding as a guide for our communication with others.” – Tony Robbins

These insights have helped many people become leaders and, ultimately, lead others to be at their best. It has worked for me and I hope it works for you. At the end of the day, it’s all about showing and showing off.

Have you ever thought of doing a radio show? If so what would you talk about? Come on down!
